GMP for industrial pharmaceutical equipment

One of the main characteristics of the pharmaceutical sector is the importance of the quality.

GMP “Good Manufacturing Practices” are one of the several practices required in the pharmaceutical sector (equipment & products, like drug, food,…).

Today we are looking at the GMP for the industrial pharmaceutical equipment, especially for industrial sterilization equipment.

The Ethylene Oxide Sterilization is the key for thermo-sensitive products sterilization

A few years ago, the evolution of the pharmaceutical and medical sectors have made emerged the “thermo-sensitive” products. These products cannot be sterilized using a traditional method (steam sterilization) because of their physical properties.
That's why other methods of sterilization have been developed, in which we find ethylene oxide sterilization.

All information needed to understand: what is a thermo-sensitive product? Why do we use the ethylene oxide sterilization? What are the keys to the ethylene oxide sterilization process?

What are the difference between Plant steam, Process steam and Pure steam?

The steam used in different processes of sterilization is not always the same. Indeed, according to the process of sterilization used, the steam should have some specific characteristics in order to comply with the sterilization directive requirements.

What are the different types of steam? Which steam has to be used according the process of sterilization?

Our Superheated Water Sterilizer

Our last design of superheated water sterilizer (MODEL LPS121270) has been finished, and the equipment has been sent to the customer site. The design, installation and qualification of a superheated water autoclave for one of our pharmaceutical customers, has been achieved with success. It has been a customized project performed by RSD Engineering Solutions SL and Inoxtorres SL, to sterilize bottles containing liquid.

How to remove ethylene oxide from the autoclave at the end of the sterilization cycle?

Industries are increasingly committed to the protection of the environment and in most cases they try to consider it as one of their priorities.
Companies that design and manufacture Ethylene Oxide (ETO) sterilization autoclaves can also propose the best technologies to their customers for ethylene oxide elimination. ETO is a very effective gas as it has sterilization property, but being harmful for the environment; that’s why it is required to use either a Scrubber or Catalytic System.
All the information about these 2 technologies to have the best ethylene oxide (ETO) sterilization facility respecting the environment.
